The days you observe
I’m currently in a rut. Blank. And my note app is staring blankly back at me.
In my usual fashion, I’m venting to my partner about it—how inspiration seems far, like it packed its bags and ghosted me.
And then he says something that sticks:
"It’s okay to be blank on some days. Some days you observe the universe. Other days, you learn from the universe. On rare occasions, you teach the universe."
There are days when your creativity flows like a river. Days when energy is high, ideas are plenty, and the words find you.
But there are also days when you want to teach the universe but your creativity is lower than the depths of the ocean. And as for energy, you just wan dey.
On those days, don’t force it. Sit back. Observe.
Let the world do the talking while you listen and learn.
After all, “Don’t push the river, it flows by itself.”
